So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads on our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance. (Romans 8:26, AMPC).
When we think of praying led by the Holy Spirit it’s key that we understand the different ways the spirit operates to aid us as we pray. In this teaching Apostle Terrell will help us understand the four key operation of tongues such as:
- Tongues that minister to others as a sign to Acts 2: 4-8
- Tongues that minister to the church through supernatural interpretation according to Romans 8:26
- The Spirit intercedes on our behalf with unspeakable groaning according to Romans 8:27
- Tongues for personal edification according to 1Corithians 14: 1-4
When we pray in this manner, not only are we depending on the Holy Spirit to give us utterance, but we are also building up our spirits, our souls and our physical bodies.
